Palworld base jobs and the best Pal for each

12 jobs decide what a base can actually produce. Here is how many of the 299 Pals can do each one, and who tops it.

How work levels work

Every Pal has a level from 1 upward in the jobs it can do, and 0 in the ones it cannot. Level is not only speed: some stations require a minimum level before a Pal will use them at all, so an underlevelled worker can leave a building idle rather than merely slow. 10 of the 12 jobs top out at level 8. The rest stop lower, Transporting at 7 and Farming at 4, so they have a flatter ceiling and are less about finding one perfect worker.

The scarcity varies enormously. Generating electricity is held by only 25 species in the whole game, while Transporting is held by 148. Plan around the scarce ones, because those are the assignments that block an entire production line.
