Updated on Published By VaultAlts
Patch 3.2.1, build 73552, went live on all platforms on September 15, 2026 as the Season of Hell's Legacy update. It rebalances all eight classes, changing five core stat scalars, reworks Mythic Unique crafting, adds nine legacy Uniques and 22 craftable Unique Charms, raises Torment experience and Whisper rewards, and was followed by hotfixes on September 15, 17 and 18.

What is in patch 3.2.1 at a glance?
Blizzard published the 3.2.1 notes at the foot of its Season of Hell's Legacy overview rather than in the usual patch notes archive, and the version went straight to 3.2.1: 3.2.0 was the public test realm build. There is no separate 3.2.0 live patch. The seasonal systems themselves (Waking Nightmares, Splinters, Soul Splinters, Rebirth, Horadric Post) are covered in the season guide; this page is the rest of the notes.

Which hotfixes followed patch 3.2.1?
Blizzard posts hotfixes on its official Diablo IV forums rather than in the patch notes. Three have followed 3.2.1 so far; hotfix 1 is quoted in full and the other two are condensed only slightly:
| Hotfix | Date | Changes |
|---|---|---|
| Hotfix 1 | Resolved an issue preventing players from logging in. The Seasonal Realm is now available. Solo Self Found remains unavailable while the team continues its investigation. | |
| Hotfix 2 | Fixed transfiguring 3 Ancestral Stealth Rune Word armors granting a Stealth with Enigma's power. Fixed Splinter of the Mother not clearing its stacks and Stunning you with Leoric's Crown. Fixed Rogue's Dance of Knives sometimes dealing far more damage than intended. Fixed Messerschmidt's Reaver healing enemies. Various stability fixes. | |
| Hotfix 3 | Fixed Tree of Whispers caches that could not be claimed. Fixed previous seasonal progress not resetting on new Solo Self Found characters; the mode has since been turned back on. Fixed items in the trade window not displaying properly. |
Which PTR bugs were fixed before launch?
The notes open with fixes to things found on the 3.2.0 PTR, almost all of them on the new items:
- Stone of Jordan did not interact properly with Holy damage effects.
- Messerschmidt's Reaver had incorrect class availability restrictions.
- Leoric's Crown did not apply Soul Splinter effects, could not be enchanted at the Occultist, did not unlock its transmog on salvage, and was missing from Loot Filter rules.
- Crown of Lucion did not consistently activate when skills were cast at no resource cost.
- Nemesis Bracers did not spawn elite packs when interacting with a shrine.
- In-Geom's cooldown reduction was 12 seconds instead of 15.
- Henri's Perquisition had an additional Thorns affix.
- Soul Splinter of the Mother stacks could reset after mounting; Splinter of Lies did not apply Vulnerable while mounted; Splinter of Pain could reduce movement speed despite Splinter of the Mother granting Unhindered.
- Waking Nightmare portals could appear during Prologue quests and allow unintended campaign progression.
What changed for each class?
The full class notes run to several hundred lines. What follows is each class's direction as Blizzard's developer notes describe it, with the headline numbers.
Barbarian
- Core stat scalar reduced from 1.1 to 0.8, so damage per 10 Strength drops from 1.1% to 0.8%. Blizzard's note: Barbarians have been strong for the past couple of seasons.
- Rallying Cry's Madawc variant damage 200% to 100%; Call of the Ancients Madawc damage 240% to 120%.
- Two-Handed Sword Expertise Bleeding bonus 30%[x] to 15%[x].
- Paragon: Disembowel and Crusher glyphs 20%[x] to 15%[x]; Hemorrhage 75%[x] to 60%[x]; Blood Rage 60%[x] to 45%[x]; Flawless Technique 50%[x] to 45%[x].
Druid
- Core stat scalar increased from 1.25 to 1.625 (damage per 10 Willpower 1.25% to 1.625%).
- A selection of Druid Talisman sets received quality of life changes, buffs and bug fixes without their 5 piece bonuses being disabled; the Storm Shepherd's Call redesign is a nerf from its previous form.
Necromancer
- Core stat scalar increased from 1.25 to 1.625 (damage per 10 Intelligence).
- Buffs to base Core skills that had fallen behind the Blood Wave and Bone Spirit variants, and to Corpse Explosion, with the Exhumation Glyph adjusted to make high Corpse counts easier to maintain.
- Soul Rift adjusted to be an appealing Ultimate for Shadow damage over time builds; Rathma's Waking Touch set moved toward Summoning builds in general; Army of the Dead now stacks when cast multiple times.
Paladin
- Core stat scalar increased from 1.25 to 1.625 (damage per 10 Strength).
- Judgement's damage now scales with the rank of the skill that applied it, a new scaling vector for Judgement builds.
- Buffs and bug fixes to Core Skills and Oaths, plus updates to the Heaven's Radiant Fire and Cathan's Righteous Will Talisman sets for consistency and uptime.
Rogue
- Aimed at Cutthroat builds. Flurry's Encircling Blades variant 294% to 343% weapon damage; Smoke Grenade's Shade Grenade variant now gains Combo Point and Shade damage bonuses; Dash's Shadow Play variant renamed Echo.
- Paragon: Surgical rare node changed from Cutthroat Damage to All Damage; Focused from Marksman Damage to Damage to Elites; Tricks of the Trade now gives 20%[x] per skill type (Marksman, Cutthroat, Mobility, Trap) and only in combat.
- Grenadier's Aspect 35 to 50%[x] up to 45 to 60%[x], and 75 to 100%[x] against crowd controlled enemies.
Sorcerer
- Core stat scalar increased from 1.25 to 1.625 (damage per 10 Intelligence).
- The Cold archetype is buffed because Lightning and Fire have dominated the past couple of seasons, with further buffs to areas that felt behind.
- An elemental enchantment Paragon node was simplified so it no longer matters whether your enchantments share an element.
Spiritborn
- A Tzic Rune bug that gave a massive damage increase is fixed, and Aspect of Supremacy's stacks after an Ultimate ends now cap at 15 instead of 30.
- To offset that, Paragon boards, Core Skills, Potency Skills and Unique weapons are buffed significantly: third attack damage on Rock Splitter 80% to 110%, Thunderspike 65% to 90%, Thrash 70% to 100%, Withering Fist Poisoning 65% to 85%.
- Variants that changed a skill's base Spirit now add the new Spirit as an extra tag instead, for consistent Spirit Hall interactions.
- Thorns builds get fixes and buffs; Sunbird's Gorget and the Rezoka's Rage set get more uptime.
Warlock
- Overwhelming Aspect was scaling too far and Metamorphosis interacted with stacking mechanics in unintended ways; both are pruned, and all Ultimate skills are retuned.
- Bombardment is now a Summon skill with base damage 40% to 55% and a 16% larger impact radius; Dread Claws is now a Greater Demon skill with base damage 50% to 70%, and its Ravenous Jaws variant's Eviscerate damage 125% to 500%.
- Dark Prison's Calamity variant 30% to 200% and now a Sigil skill; Doom's Doomfire Ritual burst 175% to 250%; Endless Barrage and Chain Aura variants can be cast while moving.
- Aspects: Enfeebling now always Weakens on Vulnerable and Weakened enemies deal 10 to 20% less damage to you; Cauterization converts incoming direct damage to Fire with a 40% chance to Fortify; several aspects gain resistances or extra damage bonuses.
What changed for items, Uniques and resistances?
Legendary Aspects
- Legendary item drop rates increased in Torment I through Torment V; Torment VI and above unchanged. The stated goal is to complete the Codex of Power from drops rather than by upgrading random Legendaries in the Horadric Cube.
- Aspect of Heavenly Strength damage reduction 30 to 40% down to 20 to 30%, now available to Spiritborn.
- Eluding Aspect: becoming crowd controlled grants Unstoppable and 10 to 15% damage reduction for 4 seconds, 6 second cooldown, no longer tied to Injured.
- Aspect of Audacity stuns for a flat 5 seconds and adds 10 to 15% damage reduction against Close enemies; Aspect of Rallying Reversal always grants Ferocity plus 10 to 15% damage reduction; Aspect of the Expectant 4 to 6% up to 6 to 8% per Basic attack; Wyward's Aspect adds 50%[+] Lightning Resistance; Embattled Aspect's Fortify drain rate 100 to 150% up to 150 to 200%.
Unique items
- All Uniques can now drop at level 1 and in any difficulty.
- Mythic Uniques from Initiate and Greater Lair Bosses and from Belial's Hoard come from that boss's pool, with a small chance of others through their generic loot. Mythic drop rates raised slightly from Greater Lair Bosses and Belial, Initiate Lair Bosses matched to Greater, and random source drops increased. Echo of Mephisto now guarantees a Mythic drop.
- Azurewrath no longer explodes enemies and only damages the frozen target, damage 100 to 120% up to 120 to 150%.
- Banished Lord's Talisman: consuming Overpower now raises Critical Strike damage by 130 to 150%[x] for 8 seconds; no longer drops for or usable by Paladin, Spiritborn or Warlock.
- Melted Heart of Selig primary resource increase 102 to 154% down to 58 to 77%. Tibault's Will resource regeneration 50% to 25%.
- Razorplate: 30% chance (was 10%) for Thorns to deal 200 to 250% (was 180 to 200%). Wendigo Brand grants 1% Attack Speed instead of Maximum Health.
Talisman and resistances
- 22 Uniques become craftable into Unique Charms, sixteen existing and six new; the full list is in the season guide.
- Single Resistance affixes on equipment, Charms and Tempering recipes are now worth 7 times an All Resistance affix, and All Resistance Tempering values were retuned to match other All Resistance affixes.
- Fixed Cauldron set stacks resetting erroneously.

What changed in activities, difficulty and rewards?

Fixes for teleport cancelling animations, Waking Spoils chests, Duriel's Invasion persisting, the Gauntlet modifier in multiplayer, Infernal Deception ambush loot, Nemesis Tide materials and repeatable Ultimate Nemesis Lairs.
- The Pit: Progress Orb experience doubled while the Choron's Soul node is active; bonus experience from higher tiers raised (tier 150 from 1800% to 2700%). Fixes for the protective barrier, Guardian spawns during floor transitions and Glyph upgrade rewards.
- Monsters: many more Gem Fragments and a much higher chance of a Royal Gem from Elites in Torment X and above. Fixes for Life Link experience, Balazan's Bite loot, Gilded gold and Weaken on some affixes.
- Helltides, Hordes, Undercity: fewer Experience Orbs from Hellmouth Plague Maggot Young; Infernal Hordes could fail to grant Grim Favor, fixed; Kurast Undercity refinement Tributes now include Forgotten Souls and the Jade Epiphany node spawns twice the Experience Orbs.
- Bosses and dungeons: Echo of Mephisto loot improved with a guaranteed Mythic; Belial party credit and quest progress fixed; fixes in Refuge of the Lost, Seer's Reach and Vault of the Crucible.
- UI: Obol costs on Silent Chest tooltips; fixes to Advanced Search, The Broiler map, Reliquary notifications, Steam Deck screen reader, merchant pricing, map notifications, affix text, Armory Talisman tooltips and Pathfinder indicators.
