What is announced, in one table?

Nothing beyond these has a date. No third Diablo IV expansion has been announced; the next paid content Blizzard has named for Diablo IV is the Amazon Class Pack, and its price and exact date are to be shared, in Blizzard's words, next year closer to release.

What has already shipped?

Diablo IV, June 2023

Early access opened on June 1, 2023 at 4 p.m. PDT for Digital Deluxe and Ultimate Edition buyers, and the official launch followed on June 5 at 4 p.m. PDT, which Blizzard marketed as June 6. The launch classes were Barbarian, Druid, Necromancer, Rogue and Sorcerer, across five regions of Sanctuary.

Vessel of Hatred, October 2024

The first expansion went on pre purchase in June 2024 and released on October 8, 2024, going live worldwide at 4 p.m. PDT on October 7. It continued the campaign into the jungles of Nahantu, following Neyrelle and the soulstone holding Mephisto, and added the Spiritborn, a class new to the series, along with Mercenaries and new endgame activities.

Lord of Hatred, April 2026

The second expansion was announced with pre purchase on December 11, 2025; buyers could play the Paladin immediately, and the Warlock unlocked at launch. Lord of Hatred began rolling out on April 27, 2026 at 4:00 p.m. PDT (April 28 globally) with a campaign on Skovos, the ancient island region ruled by the Oracle and the Amazon Queen, and a final stand against Mephisto. Every edition of Lord of Hatred includes Vessel of Hatred. The accompanying 3.0 update raised the level cap to 70 and expanded Torment from 4 to 12 levels for all players.

Nintendo Switch 2, September 2026

The Diablo IV: Age of Hatred Collection, bundling the base game with Vessel of Hatred and Lord of Hatred, came to Nintendo Switch 2 on September 15, 2026. Blizzard notes the Switch 2 supports mouse and keyboard over USB, but not Joy-Con 2 mouse mode.

What is next for Diablo 4?

The Amazon, first half of 2027

The Amazon, from the island of Skovos seen in Lord of Hatred, will be Diablo IV's ninth class and its first Class Pack: a purchase separate from any expansion, with details and pricing to come closer to release. She is female only, brings back the bow and the javelin (a weapon type new to Diablo IV), and was designed around three pillars, battle expertise, unrivaled athleticism and mythical magic, in four archetypes:

Future seasons

At the What's Next panel Blizzard said Season of Hell's Legacy and the seasons after it continue the Death Cult story begun in Season of Death Awakening, and that future seasons will refine War Plans (playlist customization and seasonal variety) and expand itemization and customization to support new build variety. No Season 16 name or date has been given.

The Witcher 3 crossover

To mark The Witcher 3 arriving on Battle.net, players who pre purchase Songs of the Past on Battle.net, or buy it after launch, get a Geralt themed skin in Diablo IV. Blizzard has not said when that pre purchase opens.

What is the Diablo animated series?

Blizzard and Netflix are developing a new animated series set in the world of Diablo. That is the whole announcement so far: no title, cast, format or date. Blizzard's recap says only that more will be shared as the series takes shape.

What is Diablo V and when is it out?

Diablo V was revealed at the BlizzCon 2026 Opening Ceremony and is coming Spring 2029. Its premise inverts the series: Sanctuary has fallen, its heroes are gone and Diablo has won, ruling from the throne of Westmarch as a step toward invading the Heavens. You play the Heir to Westmarch, on the run through a kingdom turned into an outpost of Hell, with a mysterious connection to Diablo that makes you both a threat to him and vulnerable to his influence.

• A world reshaped by Diablo: the Western Continent, procedurally changing terrain, points of interest, monsters and rewards between visits.
• The caravan: with towns gone, survival means building a caravan of allies who act as vendors and companions, among them a former Sister of the Sightless Eye and a stranded Treasure Goblin.
• Three classes revealed: the returning Demon Hunter (twin crossbows) and Monk (fists and holy power), and the all new Plague Knight, who spreads disease and consumes it for power. More classes are to come.
• Items inspired by Diablo II: Blizzard is experimenting with stat requirements, larger items taking more inventory slots, the return of gear based sets, and a crafting system inspired by Lord of Hatred with Diablo II style Runes and Runewords.
• Regular updates from 2027, with sign up at Diablo5.Blizzard.com.

What has not been announced?

• An end date for Season of Hell's Legacy, or a name and date for Season 16.
• A price, an exact date or a pre purchase window for the Amazon Class Pack.
• A third Diablo IV expansion.
• A release window, title or cast for the Netflix series.
• Platforms, editions or a firm date for Diablo V beyond Spring 2029.
