Every tower boss in Palworld 1.0

Tower bosses are the game's hard gates, and 1.0 rebuilt them. There are now nine instead of seven, every arena was redesigned, and the fight timer was cut in half. If you are working from a guide written before July 2026, both the roster and the pacing you are preparing for are out of date.

All nine, in the order you meet them

Palworld 1.0 tower bosses. Levels are the boss levels.

Numbers eight and nine are both new in 1.0. The final one, Zenara and Astralym, is the story climax at level 80 with 420,000 health, and it is typeless, meaning there is no elemental weakness to exploit. Every other boss on the list has one, so the element chart is worth reading before the earlier eight.

The Free Pal Alliance tower moved. In 1.0 it was physically relocated to Crescent Moon Shore. If a guide sends you somewhere else for Lily, it predates the release.

What 1.0 changed about the fights

  • The time limit dropped from ten minutes to five, with boss stats adjusted to match. This is the single biggest change to how the fights feel: there is far less room to play safe and whittle a boss down.
  • Every tower got a rebuilt arena with its own visual design, and some bosses received new motions and skills. Positioning knowledge from older videos may not transfer.
  • Hard Mode rematches now unlock by defeating the boss in the Azure Covenant Tower, replacing the old requirement of beating six faction leaders.

Practically, the shorter timer means bringing enough damage rather than enough survivability. Check the boss element in the table, then bring Pals that hit it hard, and remember that your own weapons carry no elemental advantage unless a partner skill converts your attack type.

Tower bosses, Alphas and what you can catch

Tower bosses cannot be caught. Alpha Pals in the open world can, at roughly 0.7 times the ease of a wild example of the same species.

Both matter for progression beyond the story, because first time boss kills are where Ancient Technology Points come from, and those gate the ancient tier of the technology tree.

A note on the breeding pairings for these Pals. Grizzbolt, Lyleen, Orserk, Faleris, Shadowbeak, Selyne, Bastigor and Shaolong all used to be breedable from specific pairs, or in Shaolong's case arrived with the release. In the 1.0 data none of the eight are: every one now needs two of its own species, exactly like a legendary. Charts still listing the old pairings are wrong. Astralym is the exception on this list because it does not appear in the breeding data at all, so it has no pairing of any kind, not even with itself.

Frequently asked questions

How many tower bosses are in Palworld 1.0?

Nine. Eight faction towers plus the final story boss at the World Tree. That is up from seven before the 1.0 release, which added the Tower of the Azure Covenant in Sunreach and the Sealed Sanctum at the World Tree.

What level should you be for each Palworld tower?

The boss levels run 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 55, 60, 68 and 80 in order. Those are the boss levels rather than a recommendation, but they set the pace the towers expect.

How long do you get to beat a Palworld tower boss?

Five minutes. The 1.0 release cut it from ten and adjusted boss stats to match, which means you need enough damage rather than enough survivability.

What is the final boss of Palworld?

Zenara and Astralym in the Sealed Sanctum at the World Tree, level 80 with 420,000 health. It is typeless, so unlike every other tower boss it has no elemental weakness to exploit.

Can you catch tower bosses in Palworld?

No. Tower bosses cannot be captured. Alpha Pals found in the open world can be, at roughly 0.7 times the ease of catching a wild example of the same species.
