VaultAlts is a free WoW alt tracker app for iOS and Android, with the same roster on the web. You download it from the App Store or Google Play, sign up with an email, and log in to Blizzard on Blizzard's own page; the app never sees your password. Every retail character on that Battle.net account, on every realm in your region, then appears with its Great Vault, keys and raid kills.
Blizzard has published no WoW app of its own since the Companion App was retired in July 2024, so a search for a WoW app download ends at a fan made app. This page is what to expect before, during and after the install.

Free means the whole app: every feature, unlimited characters, nothing behind a paywall. Ads cover Blizzard's API quota and the servers, and the one optional subscription, VaultAlts Premium, only removes them. Both store buttons are on the download page.
How to set it up in four steps
- Install from the App Store or Google Play and create an account with an email address.
- Pick your region: US, EU, KR or TW. The app reads one region per account; to switch later you disconnect and log in again for the other region.
- Tap Login with Blizzard. Blizzard's own login page opens, you sign in there, and Blizzard asks whether to share your WoW profile with VaultAlts. That is the only permission requested, and it is read only.
- Your roster loads: every retail character in that region, on any realm, with item level, the nine vault slots, this week's best keys and raid kills. Characters refresh when you open the app and their data is over an hour old, or at once with Sync now.
About the login. The WoW app login is Blizzard's, not ours. The screen is account.battle.net, your password stays with Blizzard, and the access you grant appears under Connections in your Battle.net account, where you can revoke it at any time. VaultAlts cannot write to your account, trade, or log you in to the game.
What you need before you install
- A Battle.net account with at least one retail World of Warcraft character. Classic, Hardcore and Anniversary realm characters do not appear: the app reads the retail profile API only.
- A phone on iOS or Android, or a browser for the web version.
- About a minute. There is nothing to install in the game and no addon export to import.
What the download does not include, so nobody is surprised later: the Auction House (nothing has offered it on a phone since ), guild chat, and the items inside your vault, which Blizzard's API does not publish. Frequently asked questions
Is there an official WoW app to download?
Not for your characters. Blizzard retired the WoW Companion App with The War Within pre-patch on July 23, 2024 and has not replaced it. The only Blizzard app on the stores that relates to WoW is Battle.net, for friends, chat, news, the shop and the Authenticator.
Is the WoW alt tracker app free?
Yes. VaultAlts is free on iOS, Android and the web, with unlimited characters and every feature included. It shows ads; the one optional subscription only removes them.
Does the app ask for my Battle.net password?
No. You log in on Blizzard's own page, and Blizzard passes the app a read only token for your WoW profile. You can revoke it under Connections at account.battle.net.
Does the WoW alt tracker work on Android?
Yes. The Android version is on Google Play and was last updated on August 24, 2026, the same day as the iOS version.
Will my Classic characters show up?
No. VaultAlts reads the retail profile API only, so Classic, Hardcore and Anniversary realm characters are not listed.
